In September of 1974, Dr. Bill Moore became the IYI’s Curriculum Coordinator. Moore was drawn to the school’s motto “The world is a child’s classroom,” and had extensive experience teaching Black and Brown studies at a college level and within prisons. Moore was one of many highly qualified educators at the IYI who contributed to the school’s success and innovative curriculum.
