This document comprises meeting minutes of the Friends of the Asian Library (FAL). Eleven members were present in the meeting. Meeting minutes cover a range of topics, from updates on resigning board members, summer library programs and prizes, anti-Asian sentiment from a labor strike, and a cockroach infestation.
Board members participate in hosting workshops or leading projects, such as the Kite Workshop or Community Resource Guide, and members of the board create subcommittees to complete tasks.
The document provides insight on how the FAL operated to support and develop projects in the library. The meeting was a space to update the board, constituted of community leaders and volunteers, on the Asian Community Library and to connect the library to the community. Fundraising was one of the key ways FAL could support the library.
