Kathy loved music, especially The Rolling Stones and punk rock. Having lived for almost two decades in the east Bay Area, Kathy was also a fan of the Oakland Athletics. In her free time, she enjoyed “hanging out” on the Avenue, and all of the Telegraph regulars knew who she was.

Kathy’s social circle on Telegraph avenue also included her two younger siblings, Vanessa and David, who were within four years of her age. Both of her parents, Leslie and Michael, also lived in Berkeley. Though Kathy lived with the Kreches for a couple years, she also spent some nights with each of her parents on occasion.
