The above image shows a collection of men’s pullover shirts, a style of shirt which Jeanne Rose is credited with inventing.
For these garments, she used a variety of natural fibers— some a velvet variety, some a plain woven cotton. Though she made many of her own clothes growing up and garments for her young daughter, Jeanne always preferred designing menswear. She felt the male body shape was far easier to tailor to, and always made her clothes look great. A lucky thing too, as she went on to have a career in dressing primarily male rockstars in the area including Peter Albin, Jorma Kaukonen, Ron McClure and Eddie Brigati among others.
