The Pacific Center quickly became a primary resource for the LGBT+ community through their switchboard — whether it was to find housing, when looking for crisis support or just wanting to meet other local gay folks.

Here is one of the earlier ads for the switchboard in the Berkeley Barb; at this point, they would have been holding their rap groups at the 2329 San Pablo Avenue location.
