Calendar shows a good mix of Bay Area veterans mixed with some of the hard working local bands of the late 70’s. Also on display are the eclectic sounds of national acts like Captain Beefhart and the Magic Band, as well as the influential Bo Diddley. The early Bay Area punk band The Nuns show up this month as well. Another assorted musical smorgasbord at the Keystone Berkeley. Artist Susan Brooks sneaks in the message “Save Water Please,” filling in the April 20th spot on the Calendar; always a California issue.
