Published three years after the ’76 campus audit, this first edition handbook relayed important information about the accessibility of campus buildings for students and visitors to campus with disabilities–and just in time for the fall semester. Importantly, it made inaccessible and accessible spaces legible on campus for the general student public. With Mary Ann Hiserman as a design consultant, a team of disabled and able-bodied students conducted additional surveys of each campus building to assess their accessibility. Because this was a first edition, the creators of the handbook encouraged other students on campus to submit unforeseen barriers in writing.

This document includes the introduction to the campus access handbook, user survey forms, a campus map, and accessibility mapping for three buildings: Physically Disabled Students Program, the Physical Sciences Lecture Hall, and the School of Public Policy.
